Fritz Quartet @ SIM-UB Commencement Ceremony
11 July 2008
SIM-UB Commencement Ceremony
SIM Headquarters, Grand Hall
Today, the Fritz Quartet was invited to perform for the SIM-UB Commencement Ceremony, attended by friends and family of the graduates.
Our program was arranged as such:
Prelude
1. Por Una Cabeza : Carlos Gadel
2. Humoresque
3. Over the rainbow
4. Gavotte (Bach)
1st Interlude
1. Eine Kleine Nachtmusik
2nd Interlude
1. Blue Tango
2. Theme from New York New York
Having thought initially that the "Prelude" and "Interludes" stated in the program would be just short performances by the string quartet, perhaps to fill time for movement on and off the stage, we were surprised to hear our name being formally announced by the emcee. We were even more surprised to realise that everyone in the Grand Hall was seated quietly in their seats waiting to watch us! Not to mention, various deans and professors watched over us from behind us on stage as well!
It has been a pleasure for Fritz Quartet to be a part of the SIM-UB Commencement Ceremony.
Once again, congratulations to the graduates!
